Carnival has the new feature when once your cruise is paid in full, you can print your docs 75 days in advance and not have to wait to receive them in the mail. I checked it out yesterday and it seems pretty easy.

You print everything from your boarding pass to your sail and sign apps and luggage tags.

Has anyone tried this new feature?

Princess has a form of it. They still send pre-cruise docs and luggage tags by snail mail. RCI also has something similar and we've had no issues whatsoever with it. Only problem is you just don't have the satisfaction of opening the mailbox and getting the docs.

We used the Princess system for our upcoming cruise. However they did send the luggage tags via snail mail along with the passenger contract

Everything else I printed on line.

I liked it and it was no problem.

Will be using the Carnival system for our January cruise.

RCCL has had it as an option for a long time. NCL has it too, now. But with RCCL, NCL and Carnival you can still opt for paper documents the old fashioned way... but I don't know how long it will be before they go the way of Princess, where the only option is e-docs. Like Princess, NCL does send a pre-docs package with tags, etc.

We sail on Carnival in 34 days - I am waiting on my docs in the mail. I know about the online option, but I so love getting them in the mail, so am opting for that.

I think I am going to give it a shot. I can do it 75 days out so that means I will have my docs in a few weeks for our January 10th cruise...........
