Crown Princess

As this will be our first time on a Princess, I was wondering about the Self Service Laundromat.

How does it work: washers, dryers .. how much does it cost?

Can we find irons and ironing boards in that area?

We were on the Crown last year, and loved it. It's a great ship with great itineraries. Unfortunately, we didn't use the laundry facilities, but I do remember that I saw someone ironing some clothes there one day. There is an iron and board. I don't know the price, but I'm sure that someone will come up with it.

We too sailed on the Crown Princess. Yes, there are irons and ironing boards in the laundry rooms. As a recall washing machine was .75 per load, same for the dryers. Will check with DW and see what she says. You also have to buy your soaps, etc from a vending machine unless you bring your own.

The board and the iron, are they free?

All cruise ships I have ever been on have an ironing board and an iron in the laundry room. They are free to use, however, you cannot take them back to your cabin, you have to use them there.

Cheryl is correct. The irons and ironing boards are free, but must be used in the Crown Princess laundry rooms.

I do not have a problem with using them in the laundromat (when they are available ha ha ha!!!).
