sailingrose
We usually go to Paradise Beach on our own and do a little snorkeling as well as resting, and eating. Haven't taken a ships tour in many years so I hope someone else can help.
Gregswife
We were just in Cozumel last week and did an escursion called the Punta Sur Eco Park Tour and Snorkel. They took us to Punta Sur park in a military type, open air vehicle. The tour guides, Nico and Miguel were very entertaining and joekd around with us all the way there. After we entered the park, they drove us along the beach to a light house, which we could climb to the top of if we wanted. Right after leaving the lighthouse, we slowed down and we saw a crocodile laying in a swampy area right by the road - we also saw some large iguanas. We continued on to the beach, where they had an area set up for us with beach lounge chairs and umbrellas and we were allowed to snorkel there. Me and the male counterpart of the couple we were traveling with chose to lay on the beach while my husband and the other wife went with the snorkeling group. They sid they saw more fish there and they had when we went snorkeling in Jamaica or Grand Cayman. I know that Carnival and Royal Caribbean offer this tour as some of the peopke from the RC ship were on our tour. I highly recommend it.
