Gregswife
The itinerary is the first and foremost consideration. I always want to go somewhere sunny and warm, so it is usually the caribbean and I try to look for at least one port we haven't been to before. Suzila
Since I can only choose one, then I have to say duration. For more than one reason, we like 7 day cruises best. 1. we find there is a younger clientele on the 7 day cruises than the longer ones (retired people can take longer cruises, people who have children cannot. We enjoy being on cruises where there are families, better than those with the older clientele) 2. We just can't work in a cruise longer than 7 days, with my hubby's job. 3. We found when we were on a 12 day cruise we actually got tired of dressing up and eating that way for 12 days! (I know, who would'a thunk it?) 4. a 7 day cruise leaves us wanting more, and we come home and book another one. 5. a longer cruise leaves us drained...of energy and money!
