JoeyandDavid
On our last couple of cruises I have noticed written documentation by the cruise line regarding the hording of lounge chairs on deck.... something about ..."all unattended chairs will be cleared if no activity with in 60 minutes or so".. Do you feel the cruise lines have listened to the complaints and this is their way of dealing with it? Is this approach gaining the desired results? .. What do you think? TheSkipper
I think you might be right. Have not had or noticed a problem on our recent cruises. Will take a closer check on our upcoming Spirit cruise out of San Diego. These Carnival ships off the West Coast tend to draw a lot of first time cruisers and I think they are more likely to try and hold a chair all day, just in case they might want to use it. cruisetarp
On our last Explorer cruise I was very suprised to see the pool staff enforcing that rule. They were constantly removing towels, books, sunscreen from lounges so others could use them. Good for them!! I am a very early riser and enjoy my first coffee up on the pool deck. I am always amazed by the people who come up bright and early, save a bunch of chairs and then disappear for hours.
sailingrose
Some ships enforce the rule some don't. On the shorter cruises you'll find they don't. I never seem to have a problem finding a chair most of the time.
