I will not be on that cruise with you but have been on several Alaska cruises-- I am pretty sure you will LOVE it- and in August you should get great weather.

Helicopter to Glacier in Juneau

Whale watch in Icy Strait

and Train in Skagway.

I'm jealous...that would be fun...had a great coastal cruise out of San Francisco in May of 2007 - however, have so many crew friends on the Radiance, if I do Alaska again ( have done it twice ), I guess it would have to be on the RD!
