popsec
14 cruises in under 2 years - WOW!!!! No wonder we miss your posting here at Crazies - you're having a whale of a time on the high seas! Enjoy the two upcoming cruises... I'm jealous! We just had the overwhelming urge to make up for lost time. We've met some great new friends along the way and hope to meet many more on future cruises! elfed
Oh My, 14 cruises in two years. Soooo lucky! Your favourite ship to date is........? I really think you have a severe case of The Cruise Bug. It afflicts very very few of us and usually lasts a lifetime!!! Regards, James. Shari2
Congratulations on all the cruises, popsec!! Cruising is definitely addictive! I see that you have changed from Celebrity to mostly Carnival. If I may ask, are you enjoying Carnival more, or is it a "better deal thing?" Just curious. My last cruise was on Celebrity's "Infinity" in 2004 and we were going to try the "Carnival Liberty" this September but had to cancel. My last cruise was on Celebrity's "Infinity" in 2004 and we were going to try the "Carnival Liberty" this September but had to cancel. We really enjoyed Celebrity and probably would have stuck with them if they offered any kind of decent military discounts. Carnival works great for us...not as much formality but there are still formal nights if you enjoy that. The crew is good, ships are clean and there's plenty to do. There isn't as much "in your face" service as Celebrity and I do miss the waffle station....but we can go on 2 Carnival cruises to each 1 on Celebrity. We've met some terrific cruisers! The Spirit class ships are the perfect size and layout and we appreciate the fact that there's an adult-only aft pool area. My favorite ship so far has been the Legend. I'd say that anyone should give Carnival a try. We were nervous about the whole "party boat" atmosphere but have had no problems on the 8 day cruises and non-spring break cruises. RNSANE
Yes, it's an addiction and withdrawal is so bad, I cannot go through it. With sixty cruises in less than 13 years, I don't allow myself to suffer very long. However, with this freak accident Friday and having to buy a new car, my sailing days may become less fequent....and the Monarch is heading from CA to FL which is really going to limit my short cruise vacations! Time for my lottery numbers to hit!
