cruisetarp
Going on the Jewel of the Seas to the Panama Canal this December. Anyone else interested in this cruise. We would love to meet other Cruise Crazies on board.
cruisetarp
If anyone has ever thought of taking a cruise to the Panama Canal, the Dec. 8th cruise on the Jewel of the Seas has just posted major price cuts on many categories as well as a Senior Discount, making this 11 day cruise from Miami much more affordable. If we weren't due to be in San Juan then... we would definitely consider it... the prices are very good!!
cruisetarp
Thought I was put this back up to see if anyone else is going. I can't wait to sail and time is dragging. I'm sure it will go much faster once we are on board.

cruisetarp
Hi Martha - We can chat all we want about our cruise here. There certainly is no chatting going on over at you know where (can't name other boards here FYI) Hope you are having a good weekend. Went to a local fair today and brought some Christmas decorations (which we really didn't need - I have boxes and boxes of things already) but don't know when we will be able to decorate this year. I suggested we do it now but Jim thought we just might get a bit tired of looking at everything for the next 4 months. lol Our plans right now have us leaving Pa. on December 4th and not getting home til late on the 21st. Have you found anything for Aruba yet? Still looking but getting very confused. If you go to the shore excursion site (without logging on) we found an excursion we liked and it was priced at $49 PP. Once I logged on and went thru my reservation page the exact same excursion is $57. What is up with that?????? Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stop by here anytime. We also do a lot of general chatting over on the Daily Dock. Stop by there and say Hi. I'm sure you will find everyone very friendly. waf125
Hi MaryLou- Glad we can talk somewhere. It certainly is a quiet thread on the other place. I think we are going to just walk around and go to the beach for awhile in Aruba. Don't want to rush out at 7 am and since we have to be back by 2 (now that we leave at 3) ;don't think there is too much time. We are planning to bring Christmas lights and decorate our deck!! I also am looking for a table sized Christmas tree to put up. We won't be decorating the house this year; first time for that. Talked with the kids and will have Christmas at their house. I wish the time would hurry up and then when we get on the Jewel I hope time slows down!!
cruisetarp
Hi Martha - great idea for Aruba - I'll have to talk to Jim about just having a quiet day and heading for the beach. I wish I could forget about decorating for Christmas this year but I have young grandkids who wouldn't understand. Our youngest grandson will turn 4 when we are away and is already giving us grief over that. lol Besides we alternate Christmas between our DD here, our DS in Ct. and us and as it turns out this is our year. I already had a few decorations but aside to take along but whether they will fit in the luggage is another matter. I tend to overpack. I hope the ship is decorated when we board. Glad to see you booked the Stingray tour in Grand Cayman - it's a once in a lifetime experience. Booking thru an outside tour company was a smart move. I'm sure the ships tours will all be packed. Well off to do some neglected housework. I'm feeling fairly good today so I have to get things done when I can. Have a good day
waf125
MaryLou- I'm glad you're having a good day! Hope you have more. I'm hoping the grandkids don't mind our house not being decorated.....they won't be here too much. My DIL offered to have Christmas there, so we quickly took them up on the offer. I will be working 12/23, 12/24, 12/26, 12/27 and 12/28 so won't have time to decorate or enjoy. It sure will be different not having a tree... I'm excited about booking that excursion; just hope I don't chicken out. Even if I don't swim with the stingrays, I will still see them. Yeah, we're glad we are doing it. Have a good day!
