Need to go to Deb's to get Ash off to school this morning - TJ has another appointment down in Philly with the hemotologist but I'll check back in after I get her off to school.

I've had to work the last 2 days and I sometimes don't make it to the computer. I will post more later but just wanted to say hi.

Hi again - Ash is off to school - it amazes me how much she can talk so early in the morning. lol

Jim & I are heading up to Wilkes-Barre this morning to the Mohegan Sun Casino for the day. He has an 8AM appointment at the VA tomorrow morning to have his CPAP machine checked so to avoid driving up there during the morning rush hour we usually go the day before and have some fun at the Casino, have dinner out and then stay over near the VA hospital. It's a nice outing for us and will be even nicer if we win some money but I'm not counting on that.

Peggy - sorry there were no big discounts for you this week but keep looking. Are you getting a senior or residency rate because they are offering both but I believe you can only take one.

Martha - Have your coffee and then relax for the day. You work such long hours you must be exhausted.

I have a few things to do before we leave - there was a malfunction at the water treatment plant here and we are under a mandatory boil water order so I'll need to boil some water for when we get back.

MaryLou- I am doing exactly what you ordered. I am resting today. Not even going to babysit the granddgtrs. Lee will do that. I have to work 12 hr. shifts Fri/Sat/Sun and for some reason, I am really tired this week.

I do believe my BIL's mother lived in Wilkes Barre when she was living and that I have been there. Not sure, though. Hope you have a wonderful time and win lots of money!!

Peggy- how is Nick? Hope he is able to return to school soon.

I didn't even know they had a Casino in Wilkes Barre - and Mohegan Sun hmmm I might have to take a ride there LOL - I know one thing I will never go back to the Mt. Airy Casino - that was terrible - although the food was good

I hope you win enough money to pay for your cruise - wouldn't that be nice -

I did get the senior discount on the cruise it was more than residency rate but I am still hoping for a single supplement.

Nick is starting to like girls Marylou and talks and talks about them to me only not to his Mom he will be 11 in Dec. I guess this is the age.

Martha - Nick has gone back to school he is still coughing but says he feels better and he has had no more fever.

Hope you will be able to get some rest today - I can imagine those 12 hr. shifts are killers -

After the weekend are you off for a few days?

I am off this morning to Shop Rite and then have to go to work with my son for a couple of hrs.

Hi Peggy- Yes, I will be off on Mon & Tues, but our cruising friends from England are arriving on Sun. afternoon so I don't think I will be getting any rest!! They will leave on Tues or Wed, don't remember.

Guess CRS is contagious!!

I have a second job in flu season giving out flu shots so from Oct. 1 thru Nov. 15, I will be here only intermittently. I will be exhausted, but really cannot pass up the income.

Our friends from England that we met on the Jewel are arriving Sunday to visit. I have to work this w/e and then will be with them, so don't know when I will post again. Not deserting you!!

Martha - I hope you have a great weekend with your Jewel friends - It's funny how you become such good friends with people you meet on the ship and on the boards.

I will be staying overnight in Ft. Lauderdale with my friends that I met on the Brillance in 2003 I still talk to them everyday on the boards and also we talk a lot on the phone -

I only get to see Marylou 1x a year but we talk on the boards too.

Don't work too hard today and tomorrow.

Marylou - I hope you won enough to pay for the cruise LOL LOL

Hi girls - back home again after a fun day yesterday.

Peggy, how far are you from Wilkes-Barre. The casino used to be in the horse track but they just

opened a brand new casino just adjacent to the track and it is just gorgeous. Nice places to eat, some upscale shops (in case you won big) and a really bit casino with tons of 1, 2, & 5 cent machines as well as quarter and dollar. I agree Peggy - Mt. Airy ended up being a BIG disappointment to us. Too bad as it is less than 1/2 hr. from our house. Once second thought that might be a good thing that I don't like it.

Martha - have fun with your company this weekend. It is amazing how you can meet some people on line and then cruise with them and you all become such good friends. Jim & I have 3 couples we see a few times a year and we always meet Peggy for lunch. (Peggy can't come to our house as she is allergic to my dog)

Good morning fellow cruisers - it's the weekend!! - What does everyone have planned? Nothing special here - Ashleigh's birthday is next week so I'm sure I will be shopping at some point for a little something to give her on Friday. Then on next Sunday we are going into NYC to the "Americal Girl" doll store and buy her an American Girl doll and have lunch there. Since Paige (and her mother) are meeting us there I have a feeling it will be a very expensive trip for Jim & I.
