Happy Weekend girls - another rainy day on tap here in Pa. How are you all doing with this weather?

Nothing special planned for today but had a nice day yesterday celelbrating Ash's b'day. Probably more of the same today as Michael's family didn't get in on the festivities and then tomorrow is the big trip to NYC to the American Girl doll store to buy her new doll and have lunch. We'll be meeting DIL Kathy there who is bringing GD Paige in from Ct. for the festivities but I feel this is going to be a VERY expensive day for Jim & I. American Girl things can get a bit pricey and with 2 granddaughters shopping what can I say. Maybe I can at least get some Christmas shopping done.

What do you ladies have planned for the weekend? Hope it's fun whatever you have on schedule.

Oh, welcome to my club, MaryLou!!! :laugh:

I'm sure it's not official since you and I talked about the cabin crawl and you offered to do it and never got permission from "the boss!"

Uh oh, you may end up in the principal's office with me. I've gotten used to being there. I think I've got my own chair in there now!! :rolleyes2:

We're not doing much of anything this w/e. I am really tired for some reason so we are going to lay low. Rainy today. Maybe play tennis tomorrow if the sun comes out. We are having a real gas shortage and the price is outrageous right now, so we are watching our travels. Supposedly an emergency shipment of gas went to Charlotte yesterday pm, so we will see............

Peggy- talking dribble won't help....it's got to be something worse. Write something with the word "list" in it; doesn't matter what, then watch what happens! :tongue:

MaryLou- have fun at American Girls. Yes, they are REALLY expensive. My eldest granddgtr, Alex, got one for Christmas last year. It's a shame they cost so much. I really like them.

Our "friend" is up to his old antics in another place:

"Ummmmm, I don't know what your problem is, but I was also trying to be helpful. I'm glad your fax number works, too. This isn't a contest, and giving a different fax number wasn't meant to be. It just so happened that I had to fax them today, and had the number already on a cover page to refer to. Sorry I treaded on your toes...."

Somebody else sent to the principal's office with me; pretty soon we will have a crowd in there!! :laugh:

Martha - I'm passing the time by making door signs. A sign for every port, and just some general everyday signs for in between. When we get to my cabin on the Crawl that will probably irritate the heck out of someone. I'm sure they consider door sign trashy, but it's fun to do and doesn't hurt anyone.

Peggy - where are you hiding girl? You can't still be in Macy's - are you?

I just got back from Toys-R-Us with Deb & TJ and I'm happy to report there is one dinosour in the store that TJ does NOT want. Everything else is on his want list. Since his birthday is 12/7 I guess I have some heavy duty shopping to do. lol

I got it what about making a list of a tour in Panama or Aruba either one. I can find something and start it - would that be bad enough to go to the principal's office LOL.

I just found out that Paul Newman had cancer I didn't even know he had it and I didn't know that he was 83 I thought he was in his 70's - I feel so bad I loved Paul Newman.

American Girl dolls are beautiful and I love to see the little girls with them and see the kids dressed in matching outfits - but your right they are really expensive.

Martha - what post was the item about the fax on I will have to check that out.

Marylou Have fun in NYC don't spend too much money HAHA - I have to buy wrestleing guys but they are not anywhere near as expensive.

MaryLou- good idea about the signs; guess I will start getting the Christmas decorations together that I am bringing.

Did I tell you Lee says he has to have a picture of me in front of the Jewel with the Christmas tree I am bringing for the cabin????!!

Peggy- it was a thread on the OBC that is going on over there.

My Ashley wants everything she sees on TV- I have started telling her to tell Santa! She has never even wanted to sit on his lap before; maybe this year we can get a picture! If she tells him everything, we may never get her off!!! :laugh:

When we were in ToysRUs I was lagging behind and Deb would just point at something and I would write it down so I would have some ideas when Jim & I go shopping on Tuesday. We thought TJ wasn't paying attention to me and all of a sudden he started yelling back to me "Nannie, write this down, write that one down, write this one, etc." Deb and I were hysterical laughing.
