cruisetarp
9 WEEKS TO GO Hi Martha & Peggy - had a great day yesterday. Once the rain cleared we took a ride up to Camelback Mountain. Not a lot of color yet but the scenery from the top of the Mt. was amazing. After that we found a cute little Brewery where we sat and had lunch and looked up at the Mt. we had just come down from. A really nice, restful day. Peggy - sorry the Apple Festival was so crowded. I love going to those things but the crowds turn me off. I guess I expect them to run those things just for me. lol Did Elaine show up yesterday? If so, I hope you had a nice visit and straightened out all your differences. Martha - What is on your agenda for this week? This is Jim's week to work so I will get some errands done and maybe some fall housecleaning. I get nothing done when he is home. I took one set of curtains down yesterday and got one window washed when he decided we needed to take a ride. Don't get me wrong, I had a great day but it's like that all week long when he is home. How do you manage with Lee being home all the time? Gotta run - Ash starts her new school this morning and I need to go watch TJ when they take her up there. She is very nervous and weepy but I'm sure she will be fine once she gets there.
waf125
Good morning, MaryLou and Peggy- Today I'm going to just chill. Need to catch up on my rest. Will putter around here. MaryLou- I hope Ashleigh has a good day today. Does she know any of the kids who will be in her class? I hope something is done about that other teacher. Maybe they can talk with someone in the diocese about the teacher if the principal is not receptive. Good luck today. Did you get TJ's results back yet? Hope they are all good. We are just starting to show some signs of fall, but nothing much. I hate to see the trees losing their leaves, although I love Fall. Just don't like bare trees. Guess I know winter is coming and I don't like cold. Snow yes, but not the cold that goes along!! I'm glad you had a nice relaxing drive yesterday. Sometimes we used to do that; take a drive and look at scenery, but haven't done it lately. Maybe if Lee does better, we will be able to. I start my second job this week, so I will be working tomorrow from 1-6 giving out flu shots, then I work my 12 hr. shift Wed, work 8-2 on Thurs giving out shots and my 12 hr. shift Fri. Peggy- how did the soccer game go? Did Elaine come? The Apple Festival sounds wonderful! They don't have anything like that here. We'd have to drive to the mountains for it , I guess. Our Majesty cruise went down $60 more. Saw it last pm. Lee will call our TA today about it. Really wish there was some way we could afford the JS. That way, we would be diamond when boarding the Jewel. That would be so nice, but they are still too much for a 3 day w/e.... 9 weeks sounds so nice.....I like single digits!!!! I will check in later........... Martha
peggyg
Hi Martha & Marylou - I am so tired from yesterday we had a great time but a lot of walking. Elaine came about 4:30 and we had a really nice talk we didn't talk much about what happened but I figure leave it in the past and move on - She talked a little about going on the cruise with me said it would be a slim possibility so I am not counting on it. I know she wants to do Panama as much as I do - but if its fun I will do it again. Martha - Sounds like you are working much too hard and will really need this cruises. Marylou - I am glad you had a nice day yesterday - not sure where Camelback is but I have heard of it - Hope Ash does well at here new school. cruisetarp
Peggy - I'm glad you and Elaine had a pleasant visit. It's probably best not to bring up the past - it is over and done with and it's time to start over. Any chance that Elaine would go in December with you? Maybe if you tell her RC won't be going thru the locks after this year she would decide to go. Cooking dinner for Ashleigh and her family so better get to work on those mushed (mashed) potatoes. waf125
MaryLou- Read about TJ on the Daily Dock. Glad it's better than some of the other diagnoses, but sorry it has to be anything. Don't know anything about it but if you have trouble finding info, I will be glad to help you search. How did Ashleigh's first day at the new school go? I am really tired today. Need to get back the energy I had about 10 yrs ago!!
peggyg
Marylou - I am so sorry to hear about TJ - hopefully the meds that he may need to use will help him with no side effects - I saw on the Daily Dock that some people were saying it was better news than the other diagnosis (well kind of saying) - I am glad that you have a name for the problem but I feel so bad for him. Hopefully Ash does not come down with it I will say a prayer for both of them. Peggy
cruisetarp
Good morning girls. Kind of quiet around here. Ash's first day of school went OK but her teacher was not in so hopefully today things will get into a normal routine. I think I will start working on the summer/winter clothes switch this morning. I HATE that job. Nothing else to report so I'll be back later on. Just not feeling very chatty this morning.
waf125
Hi MaryLou & Peggy- Well, today I start giving flu shots and I will be mostly busy from now until the end of October. Don't know about November, yet. Last night I realized we only have 8 weeks until we start our vacation and started to panic. Kept asking Lee if he thinks we will get everything done!! I saved another $60 on my Majesty cruise!! My TA said he didn't think it could go down anymore unless the decreased the port charges and taxes!! I will try to check in later..............have a great day! Martha
cruisetarp
Good for you on the additional discount Martha. If I didn't have non-refundable hotel reservations in Miami for the 6th & 7th I would definately look into that cruise. In fact we briefly looked into the previous one as it would get us back in Miami in time to use our hotel reservations, (and visit with some friends who are coming into Miami to see us) but the prices will have to come down a bit more before we decide on that. My friend Bob is still in NC and he leaves tomorrow he does not want to come home. Marylou - Everything Okay with you today - you are usually chatty Hope you come back on later.
