Hi Martha & Peggy - busy, busy day today. Found out last night that the Heart Assoc. gala that Deb is speaking at on Saturday is BLACK TIE and they expect the kids to be there. Where do I find formal wear for a 3 & 6 YO. Deb is swamped at work and with other commitments so I need to get to the mall and do some serious shopping. I'll let you know how it goes.

All in all a very busy weekend ahead of us. Nothing special, just a lot of little things going on.

What's on your schedule for the weekend?

Hi Marylou & Martha

Can't you just rent a tux for TJ they have them for ring bearers so it should not be a problem and as far as Ash - I think you will be stuck buying a dress.

Poor Marylou - you must be exhausted - you are always running around and you will need this vacation.

Martha - You and Marylou will be proud of me I posted a lot of dribble on the other board about Brookyln - How come you have not posted over there you can't leave me alone with them LOL

Tomorrow is my garage sale - hope I make some money to help pay for the cruise - still waiting for a single supplement - I wonder if it will ever come :huh2:

I will check back later

Peggy

Back home again - how's that for rushing around.

Peggy - we tried several tux places but they don't keep them in stock so they didn't have enough notice. I bought TJ a cute little black suit - it remains to be seen if it will fit him or not. I know I did a lot or ranting about the stores being full of Christmas so early, but it came in handy today as far as dressing Ashleigh. I actually bought 2 adorable party dresses - will have to decide which one looks best on her. Now just have to look for shoes and stockings for Ash.

I have been having trouble getting onto the other board. I've tried a few times but the pages don't want to download. I'll try again later.

Jim just came in for lunch so I'll check back later.

Martha - I'm so sorry you are sick. I was wondering why you didn't pop in this morning before you went to work. Feel better!

Peggy - how far are you from the Danbury Mall? We'll be up in Ridgefield starting next Friday, (17th) until the following Friday (24th). If you are not too far from the mall maybe we could meet for lunch or something. David & Kathy are going to Bermuda on the Explorer for their 10th wedding anniversary. Dave booked the grand suite for the occasion.

OMG you should see TJ in his little suit. He looks adorable. I'll try and get some pictures before he ruins the outfit. We ended up keeping the red dress for Ash and the cream colored one will go back tomorrow. I actually love the cream one but with her fair skin and blond hair it was just kind of blah. The red one really looked great on her and the fact that it came with a doll dress to match sealed the deal for her. lol

Tomorrow I need to find shoes for both of them - since they will wear them once I'm looking for CHEAP. Deb has the diabetes walk in the morning and then has to go find a dress for herself so I'll go for the shoes for the kids.

Nothing else new here - talk to you all tomorrow.

Morning all and Happy Weekend - don't have a lot going on once I get the shoes for the kids. Wish we were going to the gala tonight but this is for the big $$$$ sponsors. We may go out and pick up the kids of they get restless and bring them home and put them to bed.

Martha - hope you are feeling better today.

Peggy - Good luck with the garage sale

Be back later - nothing much to chat about today.

Good morning!

I'm back; you can't keep a good woman down!

I feel pretty washed out; it was a nasty bug I had.

Have a hair appt today and then that's all. Not doing anything else. Next week will be bad. I work Tues thru Sunday so probably won't post all that much. Bear with me. My schedule improves in November, I think!

Alex, our 10 y/o granddgtr, brought home lice!! She went on a field trip with school and was gone 2 nights. Came home and went to school the next day and the school nurse called to come and get her. Poor Scott, he now has to clean and scrub down the house, sheets, clothes and all the girls. I told him he and Monica would also have to use the shampoo. He was not happy! Told him it is rampant down here right now in the schools.

Peggy- not ignoring the other thread; just have nothing to say. Have to watch everything I post so I don't offend our "friend" and am tired of posting the same thing over and over. I read it, but just haven't responded. I won't leave you in the lurch!!

I will check in later.

Have a good day....

Martha

Hi, I'm back!

I'm letting my hair grow and it is finally long enough to be in a bob!! It looked so good when I left but I doubt I will be able to do the same! Oh well, it was fun while it lasts!!

Peggy- hope your garage sale goes well and you make lots of money!!

MaryLou- hope your family has a wonderful time tonight. I know you must be extremely proud of Deb for speaking in front of such large groups. I'm proud of her and I don't even know her!!

Will check in later.........

Hi Martha - glad you are feeling better and you have a new hairdo. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can never make my hair look as good as it does when I leave the salon. I'm glad you are happy with the "do" anyway.

Peggy must be busy with her garage sale. I hope she is making a bundle.

I am proud of Deb. Ever since she was a little girl she has had a BIG mouth and it's great that she is using it to promote such a worthy cause. I must admit I'm surprised at how poised she is but her job is training all the bank employees and since she knows a lot of them personally she said it was very easy to get used to speaking in public. Ashleigh is following in her mothers footsteps too.
