Martha - we have been on Celebrity 3 times before and loved it. We are booked on the CruiseCrazies cruise on the Constellation for November 2009 and really looking forward to it. In my opinion, Celebrity is a bit fancier - and the food a tad better than RC but it is also a bit quieter. They do have things going on but not like RC. When you step on board you are handed a glass of champagne and someone takes your carry-on and escorts you to your cabin. Just some little extras to make you feel real special.

Take a look (under roll calls) at the Connie Goes Crazie cruise and see what you think. I've never sailed on this class of ship but it looks great and the ports are really terrific.

Hi Mary Lou-

We are not big on dressing up every night. Do you have to on Celebrity?

We think we may do a Celebrity after we reach diamond, but I've heard the benefits are almost non existant. Oh well, we cruise to cruise not get stuff.

How is the pain?

Did your company leave? Hope you all had a wonderful time!!

Hi Martha - Celebrity was much fancier than RC when we last sailed them but that was in 2001 or 2002. They had a policy that you had to stick to the dress code all evening in order to go into any of the lounges, etc. That meant no going back after dinner and changing back into shorts, etc. However I hear they stopped doing that but am not completely sure of that. Joey here at Crazies is sailing on Celebrity next week so I'll let you know.

I agree their perks stink compared to RC which is why we stopped sailing them and went back to Royal where the benefits are so much better.

That being said, I'm really looking forward to cruising Celebrity next year with the gang here and the extras they give you like the champagne on arrival do make you feel special.

The new meds were a bust - I had absolutely no pain but was a zombie all day. I positively could not function and was falling asleep standing up. So no more of those little pills for me.

My company is gone and the house is back to normal. It's amazing how much "stuff" two 19 YO's have to bring for a 2 day stay. My house had stuff all over the place. It's so much fun to see them though that I'm happy to have the mess. It's very hard having them since Heather is diabetic and Cait was just diagnosed with an ulcer so cooking becomes quite an issue. We managed though with very little problems.

Time to start my day - any more questions about Celebrity, just ask and hopefully I can help you.

Good morning!

Just woke up and got my coffee.

I looked at my countdown clock and noticed I am down to double digits for my Majesty cruise; which means the Jewel is not far behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:happy::laugh:

Thanks for the info on Celebrity. I never see any sales, like on RCI. Do you every get sr discounts or residency specials?

I am so sorry the meds didn't work for you; I know it must be frustrating. DH has similar problem. His rheumatoid arthritis has gotten considerably worse and if he is having a flare and takes a pain pill the medication completely knocks him out. He hates taking them. That's why we like cruising so much. He can be as active or sedate as he wants.

YEAH - you are down to double digits for your Majesty cruise. That means we will soon be DD's on the PC cruise. Where are you going on the Majesty cruise? Have you found out yet how they will handle the B2B on different ships. Our only B2B was on the same ship in the same cabin so it was interesting to see what happens between cruises - boy do those crew people work hard. It was amazing.

Have to blow off steam!! There are certain people on our cruise that aggravate me!

Has to be their way.... I am almost done with the other place! I don't know if they mean it that way, but they come off sounding high handed to me and have from the first. I think that's why we don't have many posts. :sad2:

As far as B2B, we were told it was not considered a B2B and we were on our own as far as getting luggage from 1 ship to the other. I know the other couple was told differently so we will see. We have it just about worked out anyway. Don't care how, we will be so excited that it is finally here and we are actually going, nothing else will matter!!

Good morning Martha - don't work too hard.

Did you see that photo show of the ferry going thru the canal? Now I'm undecided again. I really want to see the Pacific Ocean. I'm sorry I looked at those pictures. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
