Nasty, rainy day again here and I am in bed with vertigo. It hit me so fast but the room is sure spinning. Can't really get to the Dr. til Monday so I will just have to take it easy. I just took a couple of Bonine so I hope that will help some. I had this a while ago and it went away as quickly as it came so hopefully that will happen again.

Peggy - Did you ever make your reservations for the Murder Mystery Dinner? I know you really wanted to do that.

Martha - did you switch to My Time Dining or are you going to stay with traditional seating?

We will have to decide quickly once we get on board when we want to go to Portofinos and Chops. We definately want to do both of them and would enjoy the company if you plan on going.

Time to crawl back into bed - be back later.

Sorry I didn't get on last night, but I was just toooooooooo tired!!

Got some sleep, so I feel better.

MaryLou- OH NO!!!!!!!!! I've had vertigo a couple of times, so I know how badly you feel. I am SO sorry. How is your face feeling?

We are still planning to sign up for MTD- just trying to spread our money out for the next 2 weeks so we can get everything done. We may go ahead and sign up for it the end of the week; just not sure yet. Do you remember how much the total tip $$ was? I figure it will be about $270.

The couple from England, Janet & Mike, gave up their cabin on the hump. Hope they got one of the afts and didn't just cancel. They seemed so nice.

Funny story; at work yesterday, my PA opened the pt's door and asked me what port we are leaving from (she is a RCI cruiser, also). I told her Port of Miami. She laughed and said the pt's parents were on the same cruise!!!!!!! I went into the room to talk with her. I ended up with her parents' names and will try to find them!!!

There is one night of the new menu I thought was pretty awful. I couldn't find anything I wanted to eat and actually ended up just eating the chicken noodle soup. It was the night they had the seafood in the pasta. Ordered it and the sauce wasn't very appetizing and I couldn't find the seafood!!! Lee enjoyed his meal (he had gotten something different), so it was just me. Wouldn't mind if we went to Chops/Portafino's that day!!!

Better sign off now; have to go to work so we can cruise!!!

OK - now I can really say 3 WEEKS TO GO. I'm feeling much better today and hope to get a lot done once I get Jim off to work. Never get a lot done when he's around.

I don't know if you have seen it or not but under the interactive tab above, CruiseCrazies has a very comprehensive Packing List. Granted you may never need a lot of the things on it, but you just might find something that could come in handy that you hadn't thought of yet.

Happy packing - time to really shift into high gear especially since we are piling all our stuff in the Dining Room and we will need that for dinner next week. Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week already?

Mary Lou- Glad to hear you are feeling better!

Yes, it is time to get into high gear. Today will need to try on some clothes and make decisions. Also have to do some errands.

Thanks for letting us know about the packing list. Lee and I were discussing that last night. Not sure where our list is.

Hi Marylou & Martha -

Sorry I have not been on here but yesterday I went upstate with my daughter and grandson she took Nick up to see his father and his grandfather - they never come here  We had a good time but it was really, really cold up there and very windy - it started to snow lightly so we left and were home by 9 last night. This morning I did put a good dent in my Xmas shopping - just got home and am going to cook dinner tonight for a change LOL.

Marylou - I am happy you are feeling better I have had that happy to me too but only once about 30 yrs ago it lasted more than 2 days - uusally it clears up in a few hours - talke care of you, you have to be in great shape for this cruise

Martha - I have to check the packing list too sometimes i forget stupid things - wish we were leaving

today and Marylou is right about the tips 107.25 pp.

Going to check the rest of the boards and then have to clean the kitchen so I can cook dinner.

MaryLou- I missed your post about the tips; thanks for confirming it. I went on TP Kellar's cruise tip calculator and it gave me around $250, but I had figured around $220. I just figured I added wrong; glad to hear I'm not as dumb in math as I thought! Wonder what the difference is.....

We may pay for MTD Fri. and have it taken care of.

Met the grandbabies at the mall and kept them so daddy could go to the Dr. with a bad back. Took them to see Santa and get ice cream..............yes, ice cream BEFORE dinner. I love being a grandma!!!

Bought a large black purse so I can keep my blood sugar machine with me. It's big enough to be a weekender!!!

Peggy- glad you had a productive day shopping. We always pack using a list. I'm too anal not to!!

Will check in later.........

Good morning Peggy & Martha - the packing continues and it's getting crazy. Too many evening outfits and not enough shorts. I bought so many new capri outfits at the end of the summer and now I don't know which ones to take. Decisions, decisions.

Martha - how did the girls like Santa? Deb took Ashleigh since they were out in the mall over the weekend and of course she just jumped up on his lap and told him her life story. TJ on the other hand tells us to write Santa a letter, he's not going near him -"he's too scarey looking" (TJ is going through the scarey stage where everything is scarey to him)

I seem to remember reading that buying Ice cream right BEFORE dinner is one of the top 10 rules in the grandparents handbook. Ranks right up there with oreo cookies for breakfast - one of TJ's favorites. hehe

Peggy - sounds like you had a nice day visiting up state - I'm sure it was very cold. Soon we will be complaining about the heat I hope.

Better get a move on - I need to go to the mall later and find outfits for the kids to wear to the Heart Assoc. party tomorrow night.

Have a good day and I'll check back later.
