JoeyandDavid
For us .. I would have to mark occasionally ......out of 9 cruises I believe we have written just 5 observation pieces... If you have reviews you would like to share with us and haven't yet,... you can submit them In our Cruise Review Section

RNSANE
I do try to write...and as fairly as I can. I feel it is sort of an obligation to my peers - especially if I have found something negative. I also try to fill out comment cards on the ship - though I rarely put something negative that will cost someone their job. I always deal directly with a staff person if I have a complain and point out that I am NOT putting it on the comment card because I know they could lose their job if I did. I explain that some other passenger won't be so kind. I explain that I expect them to change the poor service and, if need be, I speak to their supervisor...as I did on my recent Brilliance cruise. Suzila
I tend to write a review when I go on a 7 day or longer. It was especially important to me to write a review for the NCL Pride of America cruise we took last August because we had heard such negative things about NCL before we had gone. We went on the cruise with an open mind, trying to follow advice we had heard of treating the ship like a hotel room, not expecting too much in the way of good service, etc. We really had only one negative experience onboard and that involved the restaurant reservations because we had 8 people. We specifically decided to try NCL once more this April for a cruise to Mexico because we wanted to see if making reservations in the restaurants were any easier for just two people. We expect no problems this time around. We found we really enjoyed eating dinner in different restaurants each evening, at whatever time we chose, rather than the regular dining times...early or late seating. Anyway, our NCL trip went very smoothly, and it just goes to show, one person can have a totally different experience on the same ship as another. So, I most likely will post a review for NCL Star in April, and let you know how that went. After you cruise .. do you take the time to share you observations by writing a review? rogue
I think that I've written a review for every cruise that we have been on. Just adding my two cents seems important.

cruisetarp
I usually write a review once I am home. In my early days of cruising I never bothered but perhaps that was because I hadn't discovered the internet yet. Now I get all kinds of hints and good information from reading others reviews and hope insome way I can help others looking for answers. RNSANE
Sailing for free would be nice...but, even if you did, I still think you could write a review....I would think that your servers, the gift shop people, etc, aren't aware of your free status and, therefore, your opinions could be important anyway. Often, you might be cruising free because the company screwed up in some way and a complimentary cruise is a way of atoning for mishaps, etc. Regarless, I like to hear people's views if done fairly. sailingrose
I said ocassionally since we've been on more then 40 cruises and I've posted less then 10 reviews. I frequently sail the same ships so no need to review them too often, but when a review hasn't been done in a while I do write one. I also tend to write them for new itineraries and port stops that have little posted about them. Would love to sail for free Carmen........let me know how we could manage that. LOL Even credit card points aren't free........
