Any one of the three options look good to us. We are anxious to visit some new ports but the best part will be getting to meet some of our fellow CruiseCrazies.

TY as always MaryLou!!... David and I have discussed the fact that 2009 would be our last cruising year for a while..... Thus giving us the opportunity to begin concentrating back on land vacations ....hopefully going back to some of those great cities we have visited through cruising to spend much longer stays.....

Joey, why don't you do repositioning cruises that start and end in two different European ports.... then you can spend an additional week on either side of the cruise and explore cities like, Barcelona, Florence or Rome........ just a thought!

And it's a great one..... but if we skip the cruise we can afford to stay longer!

It was mentioned that Holland America would be able to fit our requirements as well so before we vote lets add these two choices to the mix.. please voice an opinion for your preferred option. HAL option 1 looks good. Option 2 looks almost like the December Jewel cruise we are taking although if we enjoy that one enough we might consider doing it again but only as a last option

Jackie, I'll go look at the Princess site right now and see what they have.

I don't think they are there yet.... we need prices for Princess, RCL, and Celebrity then we can vote... in the mean time Jackie which one of the HAL options do you like? (this is only for final ballot position )

HAL Option Two - Zuiderdam - This is almost the same itinerary as their New Year cruise. It was a toss between them and Emerald. We chose Emerald. We would be most interested in this cruise, with the Noordam a close second. But that's just us.

to be honest I was thinking of a partial transit just for the crazies that haven't experienced the canal and want to with out the cost of JAW flights. However as I said before.. when it comes to picking the cruise it will be by popular vote.. no matter which itinerary wins (even Princess and HAL.... )we will be there..

Personally I think the magic of the Millie cruise was 50% travel mates and 50% location.. being able to book excursions with travel mates for a more intimate experience was what made that work.. at least for us...
