WOW, 2 weeks for passport

I can't believe it only took 2 weeks to get my passport. I applied at the post office 1/25 and got it in the mail yesterday, 2/8. I was told 4-6 weeks, but from the stories I've heard, I was ready to wait longer. The Dept. of State really seems to have it down now. I'm ready to cruise somewhere. :laugh:

Congratulations on getting your passport so quickly Bob. My son just applied yesterday and they told him 4 to 6 weeks also so I will have to tell DIL to keep an eye out for them before that. Perhaps the initial rush is finally over.

My son had to renew his passort. They also told him 4-6 weeks. He got it in 11 days! When he applied at the P.O. they said it would probably be shorter than the 4-6 weeks but that's what they were told to tell people.

That is good news! Renewed ours this summer and it too at least 6 weeks. There is still hope!

That's the fastest I've ever heard of anyone getting one. Even in the old days before the recent crunch. Jenn how long does it take to get a Canadian PP????
