Belize - Cave Tubing

We are really interested in doing the cave tubing excursion in Belize and have heard about both Major Tom and cave tubing dot com - does anyone have info for us with regard to the difference between these two companies?

Don't know the difference, but cave tubing.com does an awesome job. Roe and I used them last March and had a blast!!! One of the best excursions we have ever taken. Our guide "Dennis" was simply the best. It is a great experience and they take you through two sets of cave not the one that the ship excursion does.

And we are not kid anymore. I'm 73 and Roe is 66. Her younger sister and her husband stayed on the ship because they felt the "water would be too cold." Yea, right. :rolleyes2:

If you go to Belize you gotta do this one unless you have some walking problems you do walk about 45 minutes through a rain forest which is too cool. :biggrin:

Thanks for that info, tell me are you all linked together or do you paddle on your own. Sorry - I'm so clueless!

You are linked in small groups of about six people. When you are in the tube you put your feet under the arms of the person in front of you. Keeps any one person from getting into trouble by getting too far from the group. Once in a while one of the guides will hook onto the front tube and paddle you back into the main stream. Our guides mantra was "Never Fear, Dennis is Here." :biggrin:

There were four or five guides with our group. You will learn all kinds of interesting stuff like what "Butts UP" means. You will have a miner's lamp on your head and a life vest. And the water is warm!!
