zebra
OMG Ed, thanks so much for your input. This was the highlight of the trip!! Cave-tubing.com did an outstanding job. Yes we had a couple of places where we had to do the "butts up" thing - I thought I would have buns of steel after that, but sadly I have to report that it would take much, much more than those couple of times to help my buns
TheSkipper
Jackie, Glad you enjoyed it!! It was the highlight of our cruise as well. I'm always a little reluctant to encourage anyone to do anything for fear that it will not work out as well for them as it did for us. Your problems aboard Carnival are a good case in point. Our last two Carnival cruises were great, so you never know. That being said, I think Cave Tubing is a "must do" for anyone with a port call in Belize. DebbieandJerry
Jackie, I am so glad that the cave tubing was a highlighted trip for you. That was the one excursion that my DH wasn't able to go on. He has asthma (smoking doesn't help) and I think the humidity and mold got to him. He woke up in Belize really struggling. So, we left him in the room and we took off. We adored Belize, everything about it. We still talk about "butts up". One of the funnier moments (and we have a picture as proof) is me on the intertube spinning around. I am all of 4'10". Needless to say, my limbs never made contact with the water. As the current was taking everyone else in a somewhat straight line, I was spinning in circles. A very nice person linked his feet by my head to try and slow me down. I was laughing so hard, I'm not really sure what was going on. Later on I was told that I was very close to crashing in to the cave. There were many times when I had to be assisted to move along and not crash. Can't wait to return to Belize. We've even thought about making it a "holiday/vacation" and not just an 8-hour cruise stop over.
