Leaving April 9 on Azamara Journey from Miami, for 16 days, Transatlantic with stops in:

Hamilton, Bermuda - Ponta Delgada, Azores - Lisbon, Portugal - Cádiz (Seville) Spain -

Almería, Spain - Alicante, Spain - with cruise end in Barcelona, Spain.

Any help, ideas as how to best take advantage of excursions to these places =

USE SHIP EXCURSIONS, and/or Other options, alternatives, best values, least expensive, etc

This is our first transatlantic cruise - only the 3rd of our cruise ventures, SO, need ALL the help we can get!

Thanks

We haven't cruised on Azamara but have been to 3 of your ports of call. Firstly Lisbon, being a large city there is so much to see and do and is a very walkable city - we stayed there for 3 days post transatlantic and just loved it... especially the food!!! Ponte Delgado -now that was another story, it's an island stuck "back in time" so we walked town there as well.... we only found one person in the entire day that spoke English. Hamilton is drop dead gorgeous and the beaches are fabulous. We took a bus ride around the island and stopped off at different beaches... we loved the pink sand!!!

Sorry - I missed the Barcelona part. We have been there 3 times and have TOTALLY fallen in love with the city. La Rambla is a super walk and the market (La Boqiuera) is a "must visit". Also Gaudi's buildings are spectacular as is Parc Guell. The seafood restaurants at Barcelonetta are awesome, with Paella being the Catalonian signature dish, you have to try it.... The Best!!! The Bari Gottic section of town is great, cathedrals, shopping, squares and restaurants..... We spend at least 3 days in Barcelona when we either start or end our cruises from there - beautiful city, with soooo much to do.
