on June 2, 2009. The itinerary is as follows:

London (Dover), England

Copenhagen, Denmark

Berlin, (Warnemunde), Germany

Helsinki, Finland

Tallinn, Estonia

St. Petersburg, Russia (2 days)

Amsterdam, Netherlands

London (Dover), England

Has any one cruised this itinerary before? It is hard to tell from looking at the ship’s reviews. I did a search and found a great review by jacketwatch.

 Hi Mercedes and thank you for the compliment on my review. Our Baltic cruise was a little different as you saw in terms of ports but basically you are going on a great, great cruise. According to a cruise article in CN Traveler mag the Baltic is rated among the dream cruises to take. I am thrilled for you and your family. The time of yr. you are going is great too because of the midnight sun, literally. You will walk the decks at say 0100 and it will still be light enough to read. I would like to add that is St. Petes there have been many opinions that I have seen posted about the advantages of hiring a private Russian tour such as Alla tours, Red October or Denrus. As you may already know you can't get off the ship in Russia w/o a Russian VISA. However using the ships tour or contracting w/ one of the above tour groups sufficies as a VISA which saves about $80.00 pp. Whatever you choose you will be amazed by St. Petes, just be prepared for two long days. Actually we did not go to Berlin but I sure would have liked to as I am a huge history fan and Berlin is certainly full of that. Cheers, Larry
