TheSkipper
Joey, Probably. Our choice would be Princess or Celebrity. RCI would be our last choice but not a deal breaker. Also throw into the mix what kind of deal the TA can make for us.
RNSANE
Of course, since I'm Diamond Plus, I'd prefer Royal Caribbean - I usually do an October cruise since my birthday falls that month - as my age increases ( will be 64 this next one ), I tend to make a bigger deal out of them - nicer cruises, maybe two trips over two months ( after all, time is running out!!! ). I might consider another company to sail with the crazies but I would NOT do Carnival or Norwegian even to be with the gang.
JoeyandDavid
Todays Question: If your schedule was yours to do with as you please... is there one time of the year you would prefer to cruise?
deb1220
I would probably choose January - right after the often stressful (but enjoyable) holidays. Also it's usually the worst weather time around here.
TheSkipper
January is also one of the least expensive times of the year to cruise.
JoeyandDavid
January is also one of the least expensive times of the year to cruise. That's cause everyone is broke from the holidays and the cruiselines know that....
becktours
Since I have 3 kids.. I prefer to cruise in the summer. However, once they're out of the house and all grown up, I would prefer to sail in October!
JoeyandDavid
most of our cruises have been late october followed closely by april
KeithnRita
Todays Question: As many of you know ....we are beginning to plan a group cruise for either late October or November 2009 on either Princess, Royal Carribean, or Celebrity.... so here's todays question.... Are you planning to book? 2009 is still open for us. So we will say a definite maybe? Todays Question: If your schedule was yours to do with as you please... is there one time of the year you would prefer to cruise? Well let's see, how about for New Year. Joanandjoe
Joey, your question goes beyond my imagination. After being raised as the son of a CPA, and then working in taxes for almost 40 years, I can't even imagine what it's like to take a vacation between early August and September 15th, or early December and April 15th. Particularly the latter: I've never, as a child or an adult, had a winter vacation. I might want to try a cruise during the winter (if I can find a place other than the Caribbean) just to see what a winter vacation is like. That will have to wait until after retirement.
