lashl
I'm more in the "get it right" department, but those days are gone. Everyone has to out do the competition. Maybe one day it will swing back to the basics.
boba
Sometimes it seems like they try a little too hard to find something differant. Bowling alleys and boxing rings? Was there a real big demand for those things?
Rat
I wish the cruise lines would work on the basics before offering other attractions. This would include service, food and maintainence.
elfed
I think the next thing RCL introduce will be an artificial beach complete with waves!!! Yes, things have gone too far especially from us 'old timers' point of view. Of course young people or the young at heart will enjoy these new innovations such as rock climbing, mini golf courses, bowling alleys etc. However surely this is a cunning way of getting cruise passengers to spend more time on their ships therefore spending money. In the future I can visualise ships spending 7 days at sea with no ports of call. Regards, James.
zebra
We are definitely in the camp of "get it right first", but can understand that families need diversity to entertain their children. I personally don't want to see grass on board.... I'm cruising because of the ocean, not because I want it to feel like a land resort. teacp
I agree with everything that was said here but, As long as I have my little corner of the ship they can put anything they want on a ship. By the way Welcome Nat come on over to the daily dock and tell us a little about yourself and say hi................
jacketwatch
You have to change with the times and as long as there is a market for these types of amneities you will continue to see these sorts of changes. For me there is something to be said for this type of ship. However I do admit to liking the features of the one smaller and more traditional ship we cruised with, the Tahitian Princess which was more styled, intimate and elegant.
