DebbieandJerry
We usually do not pose. Just say "No Thanks" and keep moving. With all of our cruises, we know we are not going to buy another boarding picture. In all our years we only framed two. Our Honeymoon Cruise and one boarding Silver Wind in Haifa. Since our cruise this Saturday is aboard Azamara, a new cruise line, we will probably pose, but I doubt we will buy unless it turns out to be something very special. Have to agree with this comment. We say "no thanks" all the time and keep moving... whether it's in the dining room, getting on/off the ship, in the common areas, whatever. I can honestly say that our own "portraits" during formal night are much better than the ship's pictures. In all the cruises, we have only bought two pictures. What we have purchased, however, is the ship pictures of the ship. Those are wonderful!
DebbieandJerry
Today's Question: Shore excursions can be obtained everywhere...from the cruise line, through private websites (like shoretrips.com) ...still some people prefer Private guided tours.. and of course others prefer to be "on your own"... What is your favorite type of shore excursion?... if we are part of a group we like to do the private or on our own excursions. however, when its just me and my son i will use the cruise line excursions just for the peace of mind. We've done all of the above. The more cruising we do, the more comfortable we feel in planning our own excursions. We just allow for plenty of time to get back to the ship. DebbieandJerry
Never thought about going on a US river cruise and probably not for us. Have to agree. We've never thought about going on a US river cruise. Still exploring outside countries, islands, etc. and loving every minute of it. DebbieandJerry
Todays Question: When considering a cruise who/what makes the decison it's a go ? Believe it or not, we are usually planning our next vacation as we board the plane on the current vacation. We met our "cruising friends" on our second cruise (their first) and we have been taking vacations together since 1993. So you can just imagine the back and forth conversations amongst us on the plane as to where we want to go next. Suffice to say, we get a general idea of where we want to go. When we return from vacation, we start looking at all of the websites to see what's available (cost, time, duration all factor in). The women book the reservation. The men gladly agree to it. JoeyandDavid
Some ships have self serve laundries others have more traditional dryclean laundry services... Todays Question: Have you or do you take advantage of onboard laundry services?..
deb1220
We've only taken advantage of the laundry services once on Enchantment..., but I've used the self-serve laundry facillities on Golden and Star Princess ships - relatively inexpensive and convenient! rogue
We've never done it, but, then again, we over pack by a large margin.
JoeyandDavid
I have used them to press a tux or launder a dress shirt but that's about it.. prices as far as we were concerned were pretty fair..
hazelson
Usually have to wash a load or two - by the time we get on ship we have usually been away from home for a while :o)
