Cruise Question of the Day

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Usually in bed by midnight and up about 8 - 8:30 am. If we have a booked excursion, then earlier and also if it's a "sea day" - later. I'm more of a night person while my DH has always been more of a morning person.

Todays Question:

What time do you normally go to bed/sleep and get up/rise while on a cruise?

We are definitely morning people. Habitually I wake up between 5&6am (whether I am on vacation, or not). There are some mornings, however, where I am up, had my morning coffee, walked at least a mile, took at least one exercise class and/or worked out on the weights/machines and then joined the rest of the vacationers for 9am breakfast.

Most early mornings (before 7am), you will find us out on the balcony, in our ship's robes, enjoying the scenary.

We are partial to late night dining. This then translates to trying to stay up later in order to "digest" the meal. So it's hard to say what time we normally go to bed/sleep while on a cruise. A lot of that depends on what is happening on the ship: shows, casino, movies, friends.

I remember our first few cruises where we would finish dinner and then head to the "midnight" buffet. Needless to say, we were then awake until 2am (or so) "so that we could digest" all that food.

Great questions!

We are pretty much morning people. So after the late show we might check in at the lounges and see what's happening and then it's off to bed usually before midnight. We're up by 7ish.... don't want to miss out on all the daily activities.
