Jason
Of all the cruises I've been on, I've never been to Aruba.....Hope to change that soon!
Adrienne123
Went to Aruba this spring 2012...I LIKED the natural bridge, and YES, I know it has fallen down,...but that side of the island is so different from the beach/resort side! Almost like a rocky desert with rock and ocean crashing up into the air...really worth seeing!! We also went to the Aloe factory..very small but well done and some of the best lotion in the WORLD!!! I order it from a distributor in Illinois here in the states. Really SUPER!! I Liked the bus tour we took because we saw the lighthouse, the resort area, the rocky beach area and the Aloe factory. AndiD
We enjoyed our bus tour of Aruba as well, Adrienne - we went this past fall. We love lighthouses so that was fun to see one there, and then we did spend some time at a beach resort...that was the warmest, calmest water....it was just nice to bob about out there in the water! DebbieandJerry
I agree about how calm the water was. I just let myself float away. coloradocruisers
GottaCruz
Wow, Aruba sounds great after reading these posts. I wonder if any of the 4 night cruises from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale sail to Aruba. Does anyone know?
DebbieandJerry
I don't think so. There are ships that leave out of Panama that go there, but getting to/from Panama might be a lot of money.
WeCruiseToo
Both of the cruises we visited Aruba on were week-long out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Our last trip there was June 2005 though – seems like it’s high time to go again!
GottaCruz
Thanks, Debbie. Oh well, I don't fly so I'm limited to what goes out of Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.
GottaCruz
And Michael and Amy, sounds like you've got the itch . Are you booking soon for Aruba???
WeCruiseToo
Hi Cheryl! We’ve got a Southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan next month – it doesn’t happen to stop at Aruba though. Tops on our list for 2013 are Hawaii (non-cruise) and Europe (ocean or river cruise) but the $ of air may keep us cruising closer to home if we can’t get the frequent flier miles to work out. We’ll just have to see what deals come along!
