cruisetarp
Thanks for the information James. I am definately looking for a change and hope Princess might be a good one for us.
rogue
I agree with you completely Rose - I think they went way over their heads with Freedom class and as for Oasis - they can keep it. Way way way too big for me and if I want to visit Central Park it is only 1 1/2 hours away from us. Are you happy with Princess? I am currently waiting for the fall 2010 itinerary to come out to see if I can B2B with a 5 day Radiance cruise I want to take out of Tampa (and only because I still have 1 future cruise deposit to use) To date, we've sailed on 4 cruiselines. RCCL, Carnival, Princess, and HAL, and our favorite by far is Princess. They all have their positives and negatives, but, for us Princess has more of the positives. I agree about the watered drinks, Keith and Rita had that issue when we were on the Emerald. I usually drink wine and beer so that's not an issue for me. I think there food is better but RCI still wins for their crew. I think the dining service has to do with having anytime or "regular dining" the food is the same but I like the service in "regular" dining much better. I agree they are definitely different.......a cross between RCI and Celebrity IMHO would be about right.
lashl
Debbie...I agree with you about the airfare. It adds a big expense to each cruise and now it has also become a giant pain in the a$$! We will still be cruising until something better comes along. We have only been cruising for five years. Sometimes ignorance is bliss!! deb1220
We have sailed with NCL, RCI, Princess and Carnival. Overall (service, food, activities, shows) I would rate Princess at the top of my list then probably RCI, NCL and then Carnival. Many people don't care for the "Freestyle Cruising" that NCL offers but since that was our very first cruise, we didn't know any different. But we also took our Alaskan cruise with NCL and that was probably the best and most attentive service we've ever received. JMHO!

Yeah Steve, we're mere novices also compared to many others on this site. Many of the things others are talking about, I thought were 'normal'. That's one of the things I like about this place....you get a good cruise education.

cruisetarp
Just received my Connie Goes Crazie tee shirts. They look good - the logo is much bigger than I thought it was. Andrea - the shirts came in a PO mailing folder with Needles&Ink and the return address on the front. No other advertisement was on the envelope. Hope this info helps. rogue
I've been trying to get into "My Reservations" on the Celebrity site for a couple of days, and have been getting an error message saying that they are doing maintenance. This is a long time for maintenance. Has anyone else tried to get into the=is and have the same problem? The only reason that I'm a bit worried is that the last time this happened to me, it was because the cruise I was trying to get into was cancelled. I really don't think that this is the problem, but just wondering if anyone else has tried.
