sailingrose
Guess we're used to the smaller cabins and the larger balconies since we always try to book an aft cabin. The size of the room never bothers me as I spend little time there. Judson for a 13 night cruise I might want a little more space so your probably right about getting the bigger one. Joey, the cabins on the Monarch are tiny.........now those are small!!!!! LOL I'll be in one of the tiny ones in 10 days.....but I'll live, it's only 3 days. Yeah - That was my thinking. The category that I had on the "Infinity" was ok for a week but two weeks is pushing it.

That was what i was afraid of I compared my monarch staterooms to what i thought we would get on Celebrity... happy to say the mercury was larger.. zebra
Judson, we've never been that impressed with the size of the staterooms on Celebrity, for what you're paying I think they should be larger, even Concierge. We used to book the cabin for the size of the balcony, it was very important for me to be able to "lie" out on the balcony and tan, but since my melanoma our views have changed big time. We still love the balcony in the morning, evenings and when ever it has shade - but now we are far more interested in the square footage of the cabin........ that junior suite on the Mariner has spoiled us rotten and guess what, it was cheaper than a Celebrity Concierge class cabin. So cabin comparisons on different cruise lines can become quite a headache. Hopefully you can get a larger cabin on the Connie through John tomorrow - I agree a long cruise in a small cabin..... uh uh.
PATJUD
I hate to say this - and I know it's difficult to judge a cruise line from one ship, however - The "Infinity" was the first and only ship from Celebrity that we've sailed on. I would put Carnival, Princess, and Royal Caribbean ( the ones we've sailed on ) ahead of Celebrity in every category. Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed the Alaska cruise and the "infinity" did not lessen the great experience but this particular Celebrity ship fell short of my expectations based on advertisements. This is not a complaint - just a statement based on this particular cruise. Knowing that the "Constellation" is a sister ship will not make a difference in my excitement about our 13 day Southern Caribbean cruise. If something should happen and I don't take an upgrade to the Concierge category, I won't be upset or disappointed. I will know exactly what to expect as I checked out all categories of staterooms on the "Infinity."
sailingrose
Judson.....my only other Celebrity cruise was the Mercury......I wasn't impressed but still had a good time with the group we were with. I understand your feelings
cruisetarp
Judson - please let us know how you make out with John this morning and what he had to say about no one being able to help you while he was away.
zebra
Judson, we know exactly what you are saying and feeling. With 4 Celebrity cruises under our belt, and one of them being the Infinity I would totally agree with you. As Joey knows .... I was hoping that we would hold out and have the option of choosing a Princess for our "Crazie" cruise.... but that was not to be. We really want to cruise with the Crazies, big time........ so we'll make the most of this cruise and have lots of fun - but honestly I can't see us cruising Celebrity again. We love RCI and Princess and agree with you that they are ahead in every category of the cruising experience. Hopefully we can do enough "group" things on this cruise to make it a really wonderful experience!!!!!!
