zebra
Hey Ray - so good to hear from you again, please keep checking in. I think we're all hanging on by our fingernails.... this is awful.
sailingrose
Hi Ray! Hope you hang on to your job.......we all just have to hang in there until things get better. Hope the economy turns soon for all of us.
lashl
Welcome back Judson and Ray. Good luck at work Ray. Hang in there! Sorry, haven't been here myself for severla days. Caught a head cold that has been hard to get rid of. Will have to get caught up! This is the only cruise we have for 2009 and will probably stay that way! At least for awhile! PATJUD
Heyyyyyyyyyyy all!! I hope everyone have a great Thanksgiving weekend. This is the only cruise that we had booked for 2009 anyway and I wasn't looking for any others. I'm just curious to find out what it will cost to get from Atlanta to Miami and back - still too early to begin to check it out. Hopefully by this time next year - many things will have turned around with the economy and I did say "hopefully." Have a great Monday everyone. zebra
Judson, it's always great hearing from you. Have you thought of driving... it might work out cheaper and you don't have to worry about carrying "liquids" in your luggage - if you know what I mean. cruisetarp
Has anyone started looking at excursions yet? Most of these ports are new to us so we'd like to make the most of our time there. If anyone is interested, perhaps we can find some private tours to share. JohnG
Donna, Welcome! I've only spoken with James. Great to hear form you. This will be our longest, too, in 43 cruises. We did do a 12 day and 1 day post-cruise hotel last summer when we took our daughter on a cruise in the Mediterranean for her high school graduation. Before that 10 days was our longest. But we love the longer cruises. My wife, Karen, is a banker and has bit more difficulty getting long vacation breaks.

I would be good at driving only as far as Orlando. The trip from Orlando to Miami would make me an unfit person to cruise with. I would have to stop in Orlando for a couple days and then arrive in Miami a couple days early to do a car trip. My counter does say 341 Days - 1 Hour - 3 Minutes - 27 seconds. It won't be long until we can start checking on the cost of the Atlanta to Miami roundtrip. I hope everyone is doing well.
zebra
Let's hope Celebrity will now drop the fuel surcharge like Carnival has, and reduce the cost of our cruise!!
rogue
RCCL is one of the last holdouts on dropping the surcharge. I'm sure that, now that Carnival did it, they will be dropping theirs in the next few days. They can't let Carnival get that marketting ploy in for too long.
