JoeyandDavid
If there are those that have taken a cruise of this length - please pass on any suggestions that you might have that I might not be aware of for a cruise of this length - any little tidbits that will help Louise and I plan over the next few months. Thanks buds. David and I disagree on this one.. when packing for a two week (11-15 days) I pack lighter and take advantage of the ships laundry service.. Judson if you are talking activities... my suggestion is brush up on your trivia... movie and television themes songs seem to be a favorite of most activity departments.. then you will be ready for those morning trivia contests on sea days.. Yeah - That laundry service info is the kind of stuff I meant. Jeeeeeeeesh - flying to Miami, I can't take more than we normally take for being gone 1 week cause we still need 3 suitcases. So tell me about the laundry. Do you actually do washing - I've heard there are washing machines somewhere on board or do use send out to the ship's laundry? How many times do you send out to the ship's laundry - if that's what you do???

How many times do you send out to the ship's laundry - if that's what you do??? not on celebrity..... we use the ships laundry service ...so simple you put you shirts or slacks in a bag (that is in your stateroom ) and in 2 days they are back hanging in your closet.. you can expedite if need be for extra $.. but i find that with some pre planning as to wardrobe ... it saves me valuable space and WEIGHT... and pricing is very reasonable considering..(less than most cleaners on land..Now as far as frequency... it depends..just say as often as necessary.. maybe 3 times on a 12 night cruise.. My laundry bill for a 12 night cruise is at most 15 usd now Thats for Tux shirts and dress slacks and maybe some pressing... David won't use the service .. Here is a link to Celebrity's laundry services... that should give you and Louise a good idea what extra it may cost to use the services.. sailingrose
Wonder if Celebrity has the laundry in a bag day. RCI started this last year on a couple of ships. It was like $20 for a bag full. That'd be nice wouldn't it.

cruisetarp
YEAH!! Just made all our hotel reservations for our trip down to Miami. Leaving Pa. on Wednesday, Nov. 4th and arriving in Miami on Saturday Nov. 7th. We decided to have shorter days on the road this time and get to see some of the sights along the way. Now I just have to figure out the trip home. I'm so excited to get that done.

cruisetarp
No problem at all Joey - Stopping in Virginia - South Carolina and Daytona beach on the way down. Now working on getting us home. Wanted to make the reservations early since we will be heading south just about the time the folks who winter in Florida head out. Also we will be returning on Thanksgiving week and that is usually a heavy south to north traffic time.
