JoeyandDavid
Good for you Joey. One more thing off the list (and it's a biggie that you checked off now.) to be honest ..if I may share.... David and I had a talk last few days..we canceled our holiday cruise because we thought.. we understood ..we were to become parents right away..as you know that did not happen.. so during our talk over the past couple of days .. we decided that we can no longer allow ourself to live on hope and dreams that may never happen.. it's not fair to us...so decided we needed to return to life as a reality... as what really is..... all this to say.. if we do get blessed between now and november ..jr will just have to stay with aunti (the babysitters)..cause daddies going on a cruise..(and your too young) LOL
cruisetarp
Of course you may share. I'm sorry you have put your dream away for now but sometimes strange and wonderful things happen when you go on to a new phase in your life and an awful lot of your friends are hoping this is the case. I think the toughest part at least for me ... was UNDERSTANDING how the game is played.. and to be honest ... it is an ugly game

zebra
Joey, we walked into Willemstad from the port. It is quite a longish walk but at least half the cruisers do it. This is my favorite port, it's a beautiful, colorful Kodak moment too.
PATJUD
There is a good ships tour for Willemstad. The tour departs from pier side with a short drive through the Otrobanda of town to view some typical old mansions from the past and passing by the famous floating bridge that connects both sides of Willemstad. Drive over the high bridge from where one can enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Willemstad and the harbor entrance. Our first stop is the old mansion of Chobolobo that houses the original distillery of the world famous liquer, Blue Curacao. After some tasting, and an opportunity to purchase some bottles, we continue the drive through the Eastern part of the island and the residential area of Jan Thiel where we will visit - Caribbean Handicraft, which offers a variety of local and Caribbean souvenirs. From the terrace of Caribbean Handicraft one has an excellent view of Spanish waters with it's yacht clubs and sailboats from around the world. Next we will make a short drive through Willemstad to offer the opportunity to those who wish to remain in town for some shopping before we continue and end the tour at the cruise ship pier. This tour lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes and the cost is $28.00. The activity level is listed as "mild." I like tours like this as it is transportation that gets us around to see the island. It's called "City Highlights East." I'm going to want to plan something like this on each island. The activity level must be "mild" for Louise.
