cruisetarp
I think it should be on one of the two back to back sea days... I think that would be the best. No rushing back from excursions and all day to work up an appetite. Jim & I would definately be interested. On RC we had a group of 16 in their specialty restaurants. We just made the reservations as soon as we boarded (this was before you could pre-book) and they lined up all the tables down the center of the restaurant. No problem. PATJUD
Are we going to plan a group dinner? If so, we should decide on a date and make reservations in advance since we are such a large group. I was hoping for one...however it doesn't seemthat most want opportunity..so ..... oh well I think it should be on one of the two back to back sea days... I counted 7 couples that stated that they would do the specialty restaurant and I certainly agree that it sould be one of the back to back sea nights so 11/10, 11/11, 11/20, 11/21. I think 4 - 14 of us would make a good party so I say go for it.
PATJUD
I think it should be on one of the two back to back sea days... I think we should pick a night and whoever is interested can join the group. We may have a few problems, though with a large group. On my last cruise on the Connie, they limited the table size to 6. So, if there are more than that, we may have to split into two tables. I would definitely be interested! I'm probably in the minority here but I hate a long table with people seated down two sides. Only those sitting across from each other really get to talk anyway. I don't know about arranging this but 2 - 3 tables of 4 arranged in the same area works out much better - that's only my opinion and we know how opinions are LOL!!! Jeeeeeeeeeeesh - it looks as if all of us are here and on line and on site at the same time.

lashl
I'm falling behind. Got to get my computer going again! We would be interested in a speciality dining evening. That would be a ball!
PaulaW
John could take care this before we even .. no problem there...but before committing to a day I would love to see the projected formal nights first That would be great if it is something John could arrange. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way for us to be able to project the formal nights, though. There is no precedent for this cruise for us to be able to predict. Saying that, however, it will be a long time before the reservations for the specialty restaurant open. So, we will have plenty of time to talk and decide amongst ourselves what day would be best. I would vote to go early in the cruise--- a sea day probably is easiest. And if past cruises are any indication, we can probably count on the first formal night being on Tuesday the 10th. I think every cruise I've been on, a formal night is held on the first day at sea. And I know this is only an issue for me, but I would like Hyperion to be able to join us and I believe he will only be with us for the first week. Of course, if his show is the day we choose, he will be not be able to join us.

I imagine if john waved his magic wand at celebrity two weeks before this cruise we would have the correct answer...
cruisetarp
IF they follow the schedule on all of our other Celebrity cruises the first formal night will be Tuesday, 11/10 and the last one will be Friday 11/20. I have no idea about the middle one although Tuesday 11/17 is a sea day and from past experience they always try to have them on sea days but that is only 3 days before the 20th. The night of the 21st we have to have our luggage packed and ready to go so it usually isn't that night.
