PATJUD
I posted the following in another thread but i thought I would put it in this thread... and again, I know I am way over paranoid... OK...I know this is a LONG ways off and I am being WAY over paranoid...but if this flu thing is still going on in Nov. what is everyone's thoughts about the Connie Cruise??? AND will our (my) travel insurance cover us if we choose to cancel???? I had not given this any thought and after I write this, I don't think I'm going to think about it again. I plan to be on that ship unless Celebrity cancels it. We're not going to Mexico. If you really think about it, some illness could strike the ship during the time that we are on it. LOL Andrea - I don't see how you have the time to do anything between FaceBook and CruiseCrazies. You are one internet busy girl.
lashl
Why you young whipper snappers don't even know what a Blue Law is. When I was a kid nothing was open on Sundays until 1PM in the afternoon and the only things open where grocery stores, drug stores, and gas stations. All liquor was covered up in the stores that were open. Andrea.....We are going on the cruise period! It will take more than a little flu scare to stop us. Besides people get sick at home, people don't get sick on vacation, especially a cruise! I don't think there is a bug that could survive when you have a large alcohol level! Gregswife
Deb - the cabin crawl was lots of fun (and Steve - no it did not include crawling back to the cabin - but I'm sure that could be arranged ) We met at a central point and visited all the cabins of those in the crawl. We had a very large group so we saw everything from the biggest suite to the smallest inside cabin. It was fun to actually see what some of them looked like rather than taking a quick peek in the door when they were cleaning it. The slot pull - everyone put in $21 and we found a dollar machine that played a max of 3 coints. Everyone had 7 turns and after their turn the next person went without emptying the machine but just adding their $21. (does that make sense.) After everyone went they cashed out the machine and divided what they got between all who played. Ours was not successful we only got about $6 of our original $21 back but many had done other ones where they came out ahead. It was a lot of fun though with a lot of cheering and laughing. There has also been a Pub crawl but I'm not quite sure how that one worked. Anyone ever done one of those? On our group cruise in January, we ae doing a Poker Run. One cabin of each kind is being used...we have an aft wrap balcony suite with a separate bedroom so we offered ours up. We will go to 5 different cabins and collect a card and whoever has the bet hand at the end wins the pot...I think everyone puts in $5. Each cabin has "refreshments" - ours will be tequilla shots.
