PATJUD
I picked up my order of shirts today. The red one with logo is really beautiful - if you want to call a TShirt beautiful. I think the red one is going to be my favorite. The blue one with logo looks great as well. Then I got the white long-sleeve TShirt with logo and it's great to have just in case of coolness. I had already gotten white short sleeve TShirts. You may want to go back and check out that red one. As I said, I plan to wear the heck out of those TShirts and shorts. PATJUD
Just ran into this on AOL: While credit cards are convenient to use when traveling outside they country, they are costly. "Every transaction that you put on your credit card while in another country could be charged an extra 3% foreign transaction fee, including lunch, T-shirts, books, artwork and souvenirs. It is a good idea to keep this charge in mind to know the true price of the item you are buying," The big problem with this fee is that you won't know you're being charged the fee until the transaction shows up on your credit card bill
sailingrose
There are some cards that don't charge a fee. ATM cards also charge fees. I know that Capital One has a credit card with no fee. That said, we use traveler's checks most places or cash. It's what works best for us.
cruisetarp
Judson - thanks for the information on the credit cards. Be sure to check with your CC company before traveling to see which ones charge the fee and which ones don't We always notify our credit card company when we are traveling out of the states. Many years ago they put a block on our card while we were on a cruise when they noticed unusual activity and couldn't contact us. Very embarrasing and a few ship to shore phone calls to get it straightened out.

cruisetarp
St. Maarten - I believe Rose & I are talking about 2 different tours in St. Maarten. The one I am looking at right now is the Lord Sheffield tall ship adventures. you can read all about them at LordSheffield dot com. I did find out that they will be offering two tours that day one at 9AM (too early for us) and one at 12:30 returning at 3:30 $69. per person - includes snorkling gear, noodles all drinks and food included in the price. - We will be in port til 6PM that day. This one seems much less strenuous than the America's cup yacht that is offered

cruisetarp
Judson - I thought so to. John & Karen have done it and recommended it. We will probably book it since I think the America's cup one would be too strenuous for me.
