DebbieandJerry
Andrea, your pre cruise disasters sound like the ones Marcy had a few years back (San Francisco on Mercury to Mexican Riviera). She had a huge "skunk" clump in the front of her head that was a totally different color that the rest. Her hairdresser tried to convince her it was the in thing. Poor Marcy spent 2 pre cruise days in San Fran and a day or two on the ship before the beauty salon there could fix it. We laugh about it now, but it was a tear jerker then. That was the same time I was driving back from the hairdresser with two flat tires (I think they were punctured at the beauty shop parking lot). Wouldn't have been so bad except that our plane was leaving in a few hours after I got home (talk about cutting it close) and it was POURING outside. It was evening. I was able to find a store where they put the spare on the front tire, air on the back tire and I crawled home. I even had a mini police escort a few miles from my house. We left the car and dealt with it when we got back. So, I feel for you. Hopefully you woke up today and yesterday was all but a nightmare. Safe travels everyone. I'll miss you. Guess we'll have to create a 2009 Cruise Crazies Let's Talk About them While They are Gone forum.

55ChevyLady
Good morning everybody! Hope all is well in Connie Cruize Land... Here is an installment for the followers of "As the Cruiseships Turns"...the hair color is now much better. I have MAJOR blond hi-lites in my hair now so that has really toned down the red. But looking at it this morning it does look I had my hair frosted red and blond! LOL Oh well, it is better than it was... Here is a breakdown of what everyone at home said...Hubby ~ I liked it alot better. Rose ~ I like it fine, but I liked the red better...now get what Rachael said... she said I looked like a "fruitbowl" I guess if I had some lime coloring in my hair that would kinda qualify...I do have the lemon, orange, pineapple (for brown) and apple coloring going on! The nail job turned out well, didn't get the color I wanted, she was out if it. Guess I should had called first to find out...but she did give me the bottle to take with me for touch-ups. So the answer to the question of color or no color for me is COLOR have a super great day everybody! I gots lots to do and a short time to do it in. DebbieandJerry
Andrea: Fruitbowl is absolutely priceless. In the scheme of things, no one is really going to know that you are unhappy about your hair unless you tell them. I'm sure you will look beautiful and smile the entire time. (How can you not? You'll be with a great group of folks.) As for the nail color. I cannot believe that a nail tech "ran out". But, she did redeem herself by giving you some of it for touchups. Debbie (MI): As for the NEW POST: You bet ya. I'm just waiting for the ship to sail away before I can even think about creating that forum topic. CONNIES: It is so hard to believe that 15 months have passed and your sailing date is finally here. I truly wish smooth sailing, no illness, lots of laughter and great times for each and every one of you. Take care of yourselves and each other. Watch out for each other. And as the saying goes, don't forget to come back and post about your cruise upon your return!!
