lashl
Judson, I saw that about Delta on the news last night. It's like the airline industry doesn't like people going on a cruise! Our flights on Southwest in Sept do not charge anything for the second bag so we are lucky!
zebra
Hey Judson, we have cruised to Alaska in May and September - September definitely being the coolest month. But as you say - give yourself an attitude adjustment, don't go thinking it is anything like the Caribbean, in fact just appreciate the cooler weather and you'll have a wonderful time. On board (inside) the temperatures are regulated so you can wear short sleeves, it's only outdoors that you need a jacket. Trust me, there is no cruise like Alaska - but just don't even TRY and compare it to the Caribbean - it's more comparable to Europe or South America, plus the beauty is unbelievable. You are going to have a wonderful cruise just let the weather be the least of your concerns. Dress appropriately and enjoy the hot chocolate and warm "adult" drinks they serve out on deck while viewing the unparalleled beauty!!! P.S. We have three sets of friends up in Alaska right now - and they all say that they have had nothing but rain and that it has been the wettest summer in many, many years. Don't let this spoil it for you, you won't melt, I'm sure you will just love it!!

rogue
Hi everyone, Just wanted to stop by and say that we're looking into going on this cruise with all of you Crazies. We have been looking for a special trip for our 30th anniversary, and this certainly looks special. When it was first proposed, I didn't think that Cindy could get off of work for the 2nd week, but now she knows that she can. I called John G. today and left a message, but as yet, he hasn't called back. I guess he's not home. I hope that there will not be a problem getting a cabin we want. I told Cindy about all of you nuts, and she still loved the idea of going on a group cruise. She loves cruising as much as the rest of us. I'll let you know when we book it.
