2009 I have cruises booked for

So I have the 5 day Carnival Fantasy out of NO in February and the Freedom OTS out of Port Canaveral in September.

Lisa those are two nice breaks!!... Not only does it allow you to get out to sea TWICE .. you also allow yourself to stay on budget.!

for us Other than the Crazies group we haven't booked another one yet for either 08 or 09... I had those 3 short getaways first of the year ... Mr David hasn't been on a cruise since our Princess cruise last october..... so he is overly ready.... but unfortunately isn't available till like July.. and then the ships are more "family " oriented ... and we tend to shy away from cruises with lots and lots of young(9-17) people.. so he will have to wait till December i guess.. unless we squeeze something in out of the Pacific northwest in august or September.. one of those last minute bookings..

I'm sure that the 4 of us will be talking about "our next cruise" way before we even sail in March 2009. So, who knows...maybe that Crazie Cruise will materialize. Or perhaps that Azamara that I want to take

Just got an email concerning the Azamara Journey westbound transatlantic on Dec. 2, 2008. Barcelona to Miami.

$2,199 will cover cruise in outside stateroom, air fare, transfers, pre-paid gratuities and a $750 stateroom credit.

Can't beat that with a stick!!

no you can't thats an excellent price... but we have san juan on the 19th I am afraid David can't take off 4 weeks or longer which is what it would take to do both!!

Southern carribean with the Cruse Crazies. That will probably be it for 09. Planning Europe and TA in 2010 after I retire.

Joey - yeah, that is what I thought. The 5 day cruise out of NO on the Fantasy is John Heald's 2nd annual bloggers cruise (he is the senior CD for Carnival). There are plans for the cruisers doing this cruise to help with a charity project the day before the cruise departs. I am so looking forward to this, not only for that, but that John will not be the CD on the cruise, so he will be spending his time with his group.

The 7 day cruise on the Freedom is NOT what I would have chosen for myself, but a large group of friends decided this is what they want to do, and we get together on a cruise every three years or so, so I did something I said I would NEVER do.....get on a ship the size of Voyager or larger. At least we booked on the first available day and I got my center hump balcony cabin on deck nine just steps from the elevator. I was hoping for the Jewel OTS repo cruise from Boston to Miami that is 10 days long and calls at Aruba! Alas, my choice was shot down.
