What is your Ideal Length of Cruise

We like 7 or 8 nights...that's enough. The weekend cruises are way too short, the 11 day cruises are too long for us.

I've never done a cruise longer than 12 days. I found that length great. For me, now, it has to be at least 7 days. If the cruise is only 7 days I will do a pre cruise stay. 8 is nice, but still on day 7 I feel like I am rushed off the ship, but at 10 -12 days I am happy and ready to go home to my mutt and family. I am going to have to try something longer than 12 days though to see how I like it! LOL

A week simply isn't long enough for us; but two weeks takes up most of our annual three week's vacation, particularly when the cruise involves some travel to get to or from the ship. Ten or eleven days is about right, particularly if it's timed so we only use up six or seven vacation days.

I expect that, once I've retired a few years from now, cruises as short as seven days will be rare.
