zebra
My goodness you're ALL newbies. I got my first passport in 1953 and have had a "current" passport ever since. I've had to renew many times because the passport was Full!!
TheSkipper
You beat me Jackie, but not by much. My first one was in 1955, it was a "black" diplomatic passport which meant you avoided all the lines and inspections and I could carry anything I wanted to and not be subject to questions or inspections. Now, that was a way to travel.
lashl
We got our first pastports in 1986. We renewed again last year and I think we still have the old ones. Will check the numbers.
Rat
I got my passport in 1996 and DW in 1980. Before the recent mad rush for passports, I read an article in the local paper saying less than 10% of the US adult population had one. JoeyandDavid
Todays Question: Those little mints on the pillows... the towel animals on the bed..those little touches that we all have seen ... Do you like those touches or could you live without them?
zebra
They're a nice touch - but I could totally live without them. I'd prefer one evening of chocolate covered strawberries and wine in an ice bucket in the cabin Or a delivery of cheese and grape platter every evening at happy hour We do order cheese and crackers each evening, but would prefer them to be part of the CC perks. PATJUD
I suppose one could live without any of the extra touches but why should we???? I love the towel animals. I look forward to seeing ours each night. I really hate to take them apart so if they are on the bed, I just carefully move them until someone takes them away - LOL!!! Judson, on our last Carnival cruise our cabin steward diligently made these towel animals each night, the first one was good but the next 6 were unidentifiable. Each evening DH and I would have such a laugh trying to "identify the animal"...... I must say it really was a good source of entertainment. DebbieandJerry
I love coming in to the room and experiencing the transformations. I take pictures of the towel animals. I, too, leave them throughout the room. Celebrity puts postcards on the bed that the children made for "Make a Wish". On the Mercury, they had a framed picture with the postcards. So, I went home and did the same thing. Our picture is right next to the whales (from Monterrey) The mints are yummy and sometimes come in very handy when you want just that touch of chocolate and/or sweet. They don't seem to get wasted or tossed out. These extra "touches" are what separates cruising from just staying at a hotel. Don't you think???
