DebbieandJerry
Meal time is "another" story. So here are 4 people eating breakfast. Doesn't matter where. We then walk to the dining room and read the menu. Depending on what the dining room is serving for lunch depends on whether we eat there (or not). There have been a couple of times where Marcy and I will eat at the buffet; James and Jerry will be in the dining room. We'll then join them in the dining room. We have been known to walk around at the buffet stations, grill, dining room, pizza station, ice cream station and even consider 24-hour room service deciding on what we want to "have" for lunch. Sometimes we'll get the grilled chicken (at the grill) and bring it in to the buffet area and grab all the other items there. If we can find a shaded area by the pool, we will sit outside. But our preference is to eat indoors. There have been times where we have eaten at all three: sometimes you just have to have the desserts that are at the buffet! No wonder we waddle off the ship after each cruise!
TheSkipper
Our answer to the lunch question is "All of the Above." Depends how we feel on any given day. Enjoy it all.
hazelson
Lunch - buffet - that way we can have a nap and sleep it off LOL
Suzila
1. anything 'special' we do before we go on a cruise: we have to have EVERYTHING off the kitchen counters. One of our pups has a very BAD habit of jumping onto the kitchen counters when we're out of the house. I caught him doing this one time, only because I had forgotten something and went back into the house, and there he was, on the kitchen counter! I was floored! We have a 13 year old neighbor watching the two dogs when we are out of town, and she kept complaining about the dogs having things that were on the counter. So now, we have to clear the counters of everything before we go anywhere. 2. On sea days we usually eat in the dining room, or, like on our last NCL cruise, we ate lunch in one of the specialty restaurants, on excursion days we catch something in the buffet. Ate at the pool bbq once, but it wasn't my favorite.

rogue
Some people like the fresh ocean air, and the sound of the ocean. We've tried it, but we like it nice and cool also.
sailingrose
Generally I don't leave it open but I did once and slept like a baby. Only problem is some of the cruises are very humid.....door has to be closed for us.
JoeyandDavid
For those of you that have cruised in balcony staterooms, Do you sleep with the balcony door open or closed? If we can secure it.. so it remains open, then on occasion yes.....
