AIRLINES LIMIT CHECKED BAGGAGE TO 1 BAG

Like it or not, we are stuck with it. Flew to Miami from Las Vegas for a 14 night transatlantic via U.S. Airways and had the one bag each limit. Makes you pack more wisely. :sick: Coming back from Rome aboard American we were allowed two bags each, big deal unless we bought more luggage overseas what difference did it make?? :ninja:

I have to agree with Rat - this is just going to make people bring bigger carryons - there are so many that push that limit already - what a nightmare!

OK GROUP!!

How does one pack more wisely?? Jeeeeeeeeeeeesh- I remember our first cruise 5 years ago out of Tampa which was close enough to drive to. Between the two of us, we had 3 suitcases each for a week's cruise. We did learn quickly when we started flying to the departure cities and I thought we had done great getting down to 3 suitcases between the two of us with no carry on bags. I guess $25 each way for the third bag isn't bad or enough to gripe about.

I have no idea how we can do our cruise to Alaska with less than 3 bags - clothes will be quite different from a Caribbean cruise. I don't know how we can do the CruiseCrazies 13 day cruise with less than 3 bags.

So what's the secret to this "wise packing?" Do you wear things over and over? Do you wash clothes on board ship? I don't know how you can do better than something for each day and something for each night. I know you can get away with wearing the same black or brown pants several times at night for men and women. That's how we got down to 3 bags. So if you have the secret for getting into 2 bags - for heaven's sake - please share - LOL!!!!

I wish I had the secret Judson. I always overpack and always will. I try mix and match and all the other hints but still can't get it all into one suitcase each. Fortunately we usually drive to the ports and will for the group cruise so I can pack all I want.

Judson I am a big fan of the luandry service... especially for dress shirts... tux shirts etc.. with a little planning you can do it... I know we have... :cool2:
