Joanandjoe
Just found a shuttle going from SEA to Vancouver. One of the stop is Canada Place Pier, I am hoping that's the cruise ship dock. It's the main cruise ship dock, but not the only one. The other dock is Ballantyne pier. Check with your cruise line or this link http://www.portvancouver.com/vanAlaCruise/...edule/index.php? to determine which is the correct pier. In general, ships from Royal Caribbean and Celebrity use Ballantyne; everyone else uses Canada Place. Check the hours for the train. I think there's only one train a day, and it may bee to late for connections with your cruise on the day of the cruise.
DebbieandJerry
Please don't forget to let us know how all of this plays out (after you come back). Some day we would like to take this trip. Learning the ins and outs beforehand is so helpful. Enjoy the cruising experience. First one ... way too exciting

So we'll either take Amtrak or Quick Shuttle from SEA to Canada Place. Either leaves pretty early in the morning so we'll get to pier before 1pm. Then from Seward to Anchorage, we'll take the train to enjoy scenary on the way. Now all that's left is to book the excursions. Appreciate everyone's help! hazelson
I think you will be very impressed with Canada Place - it is a beautiful setting. I hope you get a chance to walk around the city for a bit. From the pier you can walk to Robson Street and Gastown. You will get great views of Stanley Park and North and West Vancouver as you sail away. There is a lot of construction and "clean up" going on due to the upcoming 2010 Olympics. Enjoy!
