Royal Caribbean Cruises' Project Genesis ships, which are to launch in 2009 and 2010, now have names.

The Miami-based cruise company said the ships are to be named Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. They were chosen out of 91,000 entrees in its "Name that Ship" contest.

George Weiser, of Livonia, Mich., submitted the names. He will name the entire class of new ships.

When launched in late 2009, Royal Caribbean (NYSE: RCL) said Oasis of the Seas will be the largest cruise ship in the world, with 16 decks and 2,700 staterooms, and coming in at 220,000 gross registered tons with capacity for 5,400 guests. It will homeport at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.

Allure of the Seas is to launch in 2010.

Last month, Royal Caribbean said its Project Genesis ships will feature an area based on New York City's Central Park in the center of the ship, several restaurants -- including 150 Central Park, Central Park Café and Vintages wine bar -- boutiques, an art gallery, a sculpture garden and a chess garden with large-scale pieces. It said 334 staterooms will overlook the park.
