deb1220
My first cruise was only 6 years ago. I'll have to agree with Mary Lou. Even though my first was with Norwegian (Freestyle), some people don't even dress "smart casual" on a formal night now and really don't seem to care! I think it shows a lack of respect for your fellow passengers. Oh well - it's still the best vacation there is !
MarcyandJames
We've never booked an inside before. We booked a window on ou first few cruises, then we upgraded to a balcony and have been hooked on them. We love it when we can have connecting balconies, cuz then we don't have to go out in the hall to visit our friends. Thats really nice. So far we haven't been able to book a jr suite or anything better, because we now mostly do 14 or more days, so its pretty exspensive for that many days. rogue
We've only been sailing in earnest since 1999 and to be honest, I haven't seen much change in the service in those 9 years. The only big changes that we've seen is the increase of prices of the on-board items (photos, alcohol, ice cream, etc.). The attitude of the cruisers has changed somewhat, but i also think that depends on the embarkation port.
hazelson
I think it was nice that friends and family could actually come on board to see you off.
TheSkipper
Yes, Jenn, but I understand it was the NWMP who came aboard to see you off!!
Rat
I've only been cruising for ten years now and noticed a little slide in the service dept.
lashl
We started cruising 4 years ago so I haven't seen many changes. In our experience the service level has changed with each cruise. Some has improved and some has declined. Depends on the servers. I agree with MaryLou on the dinning. That is one of the favoite parts of the cruise for me the dress code is a joke! cruisetarp
We have not sailed on Celebrity for awhile but the last time we did they were stricter about the dress code in the evening. Joey - you will have to let us know if it is still the same way after your Celebrity cruise. Hopefully it is.
55ChevyLady
New Cruise Question: What has disappeared from cruising since your earlier cruises?? I'll add confetti throwing! I wish you could still do that, seeing that in old movies and pictures is so cool!
