Have you ever booked a cruise while on a cruise?

We usually book while we are on a cruise to take advantage of the OBC they offer. If we have no destination in mind for our next cruise, we will make an "open booking" to be used later.

We've done it twice, also for the OBC and both times as open bookings. It is nice to go to my travel agent to book a cruise and not have to shell over any money.

Have never booked a cruise while on a cruise, but have gotten off the cruise and driven directly to our travel agent on our way home and booked another.

YES! We do it all the time with Princess and RCI. It's usually an open booking. I really like the OBC.

Marcy and I were very surprised that Carnival did not offer any opportunity to book a cruise (and we essentially did 2 because they were 2 separate 8-day back-to-back cruises). All they had was a small desk where you could sign up for a credit card good for points toward a cruise.

After our first group cruise, we did decide on the airplane ride home to ask the TA and radio DJ that put it together to do it again. We ALL agreed to put down a $50/person deposit "to hold our reservation".

While we don't "sign up for anything", Marcy and I do spend a great deal of time discussing, researching, and talking with other cruisers and pretty much make up our mind where we are going next.

Have never had the opportunity to book a cruise on board Carnival. I always book another cruise within a month of getting home. Have to be on a cruise or looking forward to another at all times!

Question for today -

We always book a balcony cabin because I am claustrophobic. But that means we can only cruise once a year.

Would you book an inside if it meant cruising more often or is the luxury of a view and fresh air more important to you?
