gymbrat33
I rather book an inside so that I can cruise more often. When I cruise with my mother, she must book a balcony. She won't consider an oceanview or an inside cabin.
DebbieandJerry
Once we found balcony, adjoining cabins and/or adjoining balconies, we were hooked. We were inside on our first cruise. Just a window for the next two. Window that jutted out for the next few (where you could sit on the ledge). But, honestely, once we found balconies, we were hooked. Now, if there was a substantial cost savings and it meant "to cruise or not to cruise", then I'm sure we would have to factor all of that in. rogue
The difference in cost between an Ocean-view cabin and a balcony on many cruises is very small these days. The upgrade is always worth it.
lashl
We have always had a balcony rooms. Like everyone else we are hooked. Enjoy the privacy too much. It is the escape from the crowds.
JoeyandDavid
All of our Cruises together but one have been with a balcony..I have sailed in an inside and OV as a single and surprisingly didn't miss the balcony as much as I thought I would.... It will be interesting to see how we get along both of us in an inside cabin that we booked for our Alaska cruise... although It is on sky deck I consider that a plus.. I thought it would be as close to a balcony without having one since we didn't have the option at the time of booking...... If in fact a sky deck inside works it could cause us to cruise again in Europe and other long distant places earlier than later... because of the savings.. TheSkipper
New Cruise Question: What has disappeared from cruising since your earlier cruises?? My list would include: Skeet Shooting Driving golf balls off the aft deck Midnight buffets every night Now, add to this list with things you have experienced that have disappeared. cruisetarp
I miss people dressing properly for dinner and coming to the dining room with an "It's my vacation and I'll do as I d--- well please attitude" I miss having a reserved deck chair for your use for the entire cruise. I miss the Bon Voyage parties they had on board. I'm sure I'll think of some more things but even with these things missing, I still love to cruise.
