Do you read on a cruise?

Oooh! I love all this talk about books. :thumbup: I'll have to check out Overboard and see if I like it. I just read Plague Ship by Clive Cussler. I thought it was OK. I like and have read all of James W. Huston books as well. (Action/terrorist plots that take place on land, sea, and fighter jets.)

Hazelson- Glad to see you picked up a Maddy Hunter book. Let me know if you like it.

I always read, at home or away. I have Plaque Ship sitting in our library, but passed on it to get to Steve Martini 's new book Shadow of Power. Have read everything James Patterson has written. Just loaded Sail into my mp3 player for our "land cruise" to Sedona on Saturday.

We listen to a lot of books, I have over 30 loaded on an iPod. We have an hours drive each way into town when we go shopping, so we listen to them then. It's also easy to take with us on a cruise, iPods are much smaller than books. :cool2:

On our last cruise we visited Fátima in Portugal and we read Steve Berry's "The Third Secret" just before we left. Gave us a whole new outlook on visiting the shrine.

Do you read/listen to the books over and over again? I don't like reading a book a second time...haven't done that since I was back in school and the teachers made us dissect the books in order to understand them. I was thinking about getting an amazon.com Kindle reader, but if I don't read the books over again, what's the point? Anyone have thoughts about that?

NEWS FLASH!! Maddy Hunter is a hoot - she writes much like Evanovich - so if you are into a funny, light read with a "whodunit" mixed in - give her a try.

Lisa - I love Evanovich as well - just got her "Overboard".

I LOVE Stephanie Plum novels! can't wait for them! and thanks for the tip on on a new author...always looking for a new read!

I'm just fine - not normal - that never has been used to describe me - but just fine.

Actually just finished "Top O' The Mourning" - what a fun read. Can't wait to get another one. Need to find out if it works out for Jackie and Tom Thum ... and if Etienne will ever "pop the question" LOL.
