I was on a Carnival sailing out of New Orleans and they passed out beads (similar to the ones that you got in New Orleans). There were strict instructions that the beads were to be tossed inside the ship, not outside to the ocean. Most people abided. It was quite festive and very pretty to see all the various colored "necklaces".

New Question:

When you book your cruise, do you hope for an upgrade, or do you want to stay in the cabin you chose originally?

Great question Howard. We have only been upgraded once in all the years we have been cruising and that was at the time of booking. We always pick a cabin we will be happy with but would welcome an upgrade if offered. The exception is when we book an AFT cabin and then we request No Upgrades at the time of booking.
