JoeyandDavid
They now seem to be going along with all of the other lines. I understand that the change will also change your outlook on cruising, Joey, but I think that you will also find a decreasing number of land-based vacations that will be lowering their standards also. Howard with land vacations we are in a totally different place attitude wise ..mentality if you will .......Cruising has always been fantasy for us, living a lifestyle we normally are unable to for a few weeks ..a couple of times a year..... so when they take that away .. there is nothing left for us.. Change is inevitable and all things come to an end.. But we are getting the horse before the cart so to speak.... we Know nothing until our cruise in August then we will see first hand... JoeyandDavid
Good Morning; Well here is my take on the subject; Being an old Texas redneck, I like jeans and boots. As a mater of fact, one will see starched jeans a starched western cut shirt a bolo tie and a jacket in weddings and funerals around here and it is most likely considered formal. I don't and won't wear a tux, but that's me. I think that gentlemen that wear a tux and the women that dress accordingly are wonderful and look remarkable and hope they continue to do so. I do wear a black suit for "Formal Night" and keep it on for the duration of the evening. A cruise is the only time this suit is worn. Funny thing is, up until 2004 for my first cruise, I didn't even own a jacket or slacks. If one likes the formal (tux etc) for sure wriite the company and express your opinion. I think it's really part of the cruise experience.. So as you can see I like to see formal, I just don't see me in a tux. (nothing against Joey for sure) Later Jim Jim I totally agree with you ... about getting dressed up... some folks it just ain't them.... and i do appreciate your efforts when you do cruise!! You show a lot of respect and class !!

You will find alot of AR boys dressing the same way at "functions" and it is not considered disrespectful. I sailed on the Ecstasy last Jan. and it was FULL of Texans! I had a blast!!! oh, and don't worry about Joey...his bark is much worse than his bite!...
JoeyandDavid
oh, and don't worry about Joey...his bark is much worse than his bite!... Since the last law suit I never bite unless I have a signed permission slip from the requesting party at least 25 hours in advance!
