trvlbug
I knew they had changed it, but I was thinking it was more Resort Casual not JEANS! I don't like that at all and likee many fo yoy that is why I have only cruised with Celebrity. Its nice to dress up once in a while and the dinning room at night was alway so elegant. We leave on Sept 23rd on the Constellation we will see what this brings about. I too will send a note to Celebrity/RCCL
cruisetarp
trvlbug - please come back and tell us if Celebrity is addressing this problem as they said they would. There are many of us here who enjoy dressing up and were quite upset over the jeans issue. I know when they first changed it they inadvertently said jeans would be allowed but that was corrected. However, there of those cruisers who go under the "it's my vacation and I'll do as I please" idea. Enjoy your cruise.

grandmax5
Beginning on all cruises which depart on or after August 1, 2008, the following evening wear planner applies: Smart Casual and Above Ladies: Skirt or pants complemented by sweater or blouse. Gentlemen: Pants or jeans (no holes, rips or tears) with sports shirt or sweater. Shirts must have sleeves. Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip flops are not allowed in the evening hours. Formal Ladies: Cocktail dress, gown or dressy pantsuit Gentlemen: Tuxedo, suit or dinner jacket with slacks These are the changes Celebrity has implemented regarding dress codes for sailing after August 1, 2008 how do you feel about it? We just returned from a T/A on the Connie and nowhere did it say you could wear jeans to dinner!!!
trvlbug
We just returned today from the Constellation after a wonderful 12 day cruise to New England and Canada. The new dress code on board did state NO JEANS ! It did state that on board but else where it just showed, Smart Casual and above. I saw only 1 person with Jeans on at the evening meal and most all dressed very nice. There are always a few who will do as they please and bend the rules.
